I find immense joy in both cooking and baking, but there's a special place in my heart reserved for the art of baking. It's a passion that runs deep, nurtured by the fond memories of watching my adoptive Mom work wonders in the kitchen, especially when preparing delightful Moroccan dishes.
Since moving to the US in 2016, I've explored various jobs, but deep down, my dream has always been to create something of my own in the world of baking.
My journey started simply by baking batches of cookies for my loved ones. With my husband as my first taste tester, his encouragement fueled my confidence to consider turning my passion into a small business. As word spread among friends about my delicious treats, the idea of starting my bakery, Zohra's Moroccan Bits N' Bites LLC, took shape.
Every time I step into the kitchen, I pour my heart and soul into each creation, just as my mother did. It's not just about the ingredients; it's about infusing every batch with love and care.
Initially, I focused on sharing the flavors of my heritage, with the Coconut Macaroons quickly becoming a customer favorite. Their crispy exterior and chewy center seemed to capture the essence of home for many. And when I realized some of my customers couldn't enjoy them due to gluten allergies, I knew I had to create a Gluten-Free version. It was my way of ensuring everyone could experience the joy of my treats. Additionally, I introduced a new Vegan mixed nuts cookie, inspired by the growing demand for plant-based options, expanding the warmth and inclusivity of my bakery's offerings.
